MAFAA Summer Camps are BACK!
Big Band Camp for 8th Grade–College
June 26–30, 2023
Monday–Friday
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $95/student
Join us this summer and experience the fun of being part of the Big Band! For students 8th grade to college level who play trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, vibraphone, and drums! Students must have 2 years of instruction or be proficient on their instrument of study. Students will be paired together based on experience and will spend the week gaining education experience in being part of the big band, jazz history and improvisation, various jazz styles, and more!
There will be a Camp Showcase for families on the last day of camp. Time will be announced at the start of camp. All campers must have a form completed to finalize their registration. All campers need a parent/guardian to check them in on the first day. All campers bring a water bottle each day.
Theatre Camp for ages 7–College
July 24–28, 2023
Monday–Friday
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $95/student
Act out this summer and join us for Theatre Camp! From improvisation and reader’s theatre to dance and musicals, we’ve got something for everyone! Students will be grouped together by age and experience, gain friendships that last a lifetime, and learn to express themselves creatively to build confidence and more!
There will be a Camp Showcase for families on the last day of camp. Time will be announced at the start of camp. All campers must have a form completed to finalize their registration. All campers need a parent/guardian to check them in on the first day. All campers bring a water bottle each day.
Junior Show Choir Camp for 3rd–7th Grade
July 31 – August 4, 2023
Monday–Friday
4:00 – 6:00 pm (July 31 – August 3)
1:00 – 3:00 pm (August 4)
Cost: $40/student
This summer, “The Greatest Showman” comes to Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy Show Choir Camp! Dancers will take center stage in the ring and put on the “Greatest Show” yet! Junior campers will learn fun songs with singing and movement inspired by the music of “The Greatest Showman!” theme with circus ambiance and amusement! *Cost of the junior camp is $40 and includes a five-day, 2 hour workshop of singing and choreographed movement rehearsals, snacks, camp t-shirt, and showcase performance!

This summer, “The Greatest Showman” comes to Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy Show Choir Camp! This camp will feature fabulous music with high-energy dancing, singing with lush harmonies, costumes, lights, and cool special effects to make this amazing show “Come Alive” in true show choir style! There is something for everyone with many solo opportunities! Dancers will take center stage in the ring and put on the “Greatest Show” yet!

Middle School Band Camp
August 7–11, 2023
Monday–Friday
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $95/student
For students who have completed one or two years of instruction, Middle School Band Camp will include both small and full band rehearsals, master classes, music theory classes, team building, and more. Camp will allow your student to be paired with peers of the same ability and experience which will allow them to have the best opportunities to grow and gain confidence with their instrument.
