- Make sure you are using a Network Cable
- The ends on a network cable will be slightly wider than a phone cable and will have 8 connector pins instead of 6

- Make sure your computer has a Network Interface Card (NIC)
- If you computer is a Pentium III or equivalent or newer than there should be a NIC built into the motherboard. It will look something like this -------->
- If you computer does not have a NIC you have to go buy one. You can find them at Office Max or Walmart

- Make sure to plug your computer into a “Data” wall jack and
not the “Phone” wall jack which are marked with a computer
and a telephone
- Make sure that your “Connection Settings” are correct.
- Right click on Internet Explorer (either on the Desktop or click Start, Internet)
- Select “Properties”
- Click the “Connections” tab
- Under “Dial-Up and Virtual Private Network Settings” make sure the bullet next to “Dial whenever a network connection is not present” is selected.
- Then click the “LAN settings” button
- Select “automatically detect settings” and click “OK” and “OK”
- Verify Whether or not you have an IP address
- Click “Start”, “Control Panel”, “Network and Internet Connections”
- Click “Network Connections”
- Right Click on “Local Area Connections” and select “Status” and click the “Support” tab
- Your IP address should be 10.x.x.x (x’s represent numbers)
- Internet games are only available after 4pm daily
