VETERAN’S BENEFITS
Mineral Area College is approved for certification of students eligible to receive education assistance from the Veteran’s Administration. Students eligible to receive Veteran’s Benefits must be enrolled in a program leading to a Certificate, or Associate Degree. The Director of Financial Aid at Mineral Area College serves as the Certification Official/Veteran’s Representatives and may be reached at 573-518-2249 or by email at Denise@Mineralarea.edu.

If You Have Never Received Veteran’s Education Benefits:
- Fill out a MAC Application for Admission. You may use the My MAC student portal to submit the application on-line.
- Fill out a VA Application for Education Benefits at www.gibill.va.gov
- Provide a copy of your DD214 Discharge Papers or your DD-2304 Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE) to the Financial Aid Office
- Fill out the MAC Veteran’s Benefit Statement of Understanding and Certification Request
- It is recommended that Veteran’s file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov listing the School Code for MAC 002486 Annually
If You Are Transferring Your Benefits From Another Institution
- Fill out a MAC Application for Admission. You may use the My MAC student portal to submit the application on-line.
- Fill out VA Form 22-1995 Change of Program or Place of Training (can be obtained by contacting the MAC Financial Aid Office)
- Fill out the MAC Veteran’s Benefit Statement of Understanding and Certification Request
- It is recommended that Veteran’s file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov listing the School Code for MAC 002486 Annually
If You Are Currently Receiving VA Benefits or Previously Received Benefits at MAC
- Fill out the MAC Veteran’s Benefit Statement of Understanding and Certification Request
