Here are the steps for admission.

2. SEND US YOUR TRANSCRIPTS
Official copies of high school transcripts, home school proof of completion, GED scores, and previous college transcripts must be submitted to the Admissions Office. If you received your GED in Missouri we will be able to access your GED once we receive your application. Students must contact each institution and have their transcript(s) mailed to the address below. High school seniors can be provisionally accepted based on a seventh semester transcript. A final transcript should be requested after graduation. A final transcript should show grades, class rank, and date of graduation. Official transcripts from all previous institutions must be on file before the student is eligible to register for classes or attend orientation.
Transcripts should be mailed directly from the respective institution to:

3. TAKE A PLACEMENT TEST
Mineral Area College requires students to take the ACT or COMPASS and submit those scores to the Admissions Office. While there is no minimum score to be accepted to the college, your ACT or COMPASS scores will be used for placement into English and math courses. Mineral Area College reserves the right to guide enrollment on the basis of placement tests.
To schedule a time to take the COMPASS, contact the Assessment Office at 573-518-2202 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also schedule the COMPASS exam online.
ACT scores listed on high school transcripts are acceptable. If you have taken the ACT test and it is not on your high school transcript, you may request additional copies from:

You should apply for aid at least six weeks before the semester in which you plan to attend. Late applications will be processed, but funds are limited and late applications may affect the amount of aid available to you.

6. ATTEND ORIENTATION & REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Once you receive notification that you have been accepted to Mineral Area College, you will be invited to sign up for a C.A.R.D.S. (College Advisement/Registration Day for Students) orientation program. This half-day program features academic advising, registration for classes, campus tours, and information on housing, financial aid, billing, parking and student IDs.
C.A.R.D.S. is a required orientation for students attending MAC as first-time freshmen or first-year students with fewer than 15 college credit hours. Students planning to begin classes in the spring semester will not participate in C.A.R.D.S. Students who are admitted late and/or cannot attend a C.A.R.D.S. program may not register until after the last scheduled C.A.R.D.S. program for the semester. Exceptions to the above policy must be approved by the Registrar or the Dean of Student Services.
Mineral Area College is open to all high school graduates and non-graduates who are 16 years or older. MAC maintains an open door policy, providing higher education to everyone who can benefit from its programs and courses.
