The preferred test for placement at Mineral Area College is the ACT exam,
which is administered at MAC five times a year, in October, December,
February, April, and June. Packets containing information about the test
as well as an application are available in the Student Services office, but
you must send your application and payment directly to ACT prior to testing.
MAC does not accept payment for the test.

You must arrive at least a half-hour prior to the start of the test and bring
your ACT exam ticket, which will be sent to you by ACT prior to the test date.
This ticket will have your room assignment information along with other
important info. In addition, a picture ID is required. You will not be allowed
to test if you do not have your ID.
