The Missouri General Assembly established the requirement that candidates for entry into state-approved teacher education programs must achieve a satisfactory rating in specified subject area tests. The College Base (C-BASE) exam was adopted by the State Board of Education for this purpose.
Candidates must score 235 or higher in each of the four subject areas
(English, math, science, and social studies).
The C-BASE is offered five times each year. To schedule the exam, you must
pay the $50.00 testing fee in the Student Services office no later than the Wednesday prior to testing; a late
fee of $15.00 will be required after the Wednesday deadline. Since this test has limited
seating, you are encouraged
to register as far in advance as possible. You should arrive at
least ten minutes
prior to the start of the test and have a picture ID ready (required).
To register for the C-BASE exam, please print this form and either:
1. fax the form with payment to 573-518-2166;
2. save the form to your harddrive, open it in Microsoft Word and enter the requested information, then attach it to an e-mail to ncrader@mineralarea.edu ; or
3. bring the form in to the Assessment office in the Student Services office.
