MACLEA

MACLEA Seal

The Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy is designed to provide regional law enforcement training to law enforcement agencies and to students who are interested in achieving a career as a peace officer.  MACLEA offers two academies a year; the 1000 hour daytime academy and the 640 hour evening academy.  Both academies provide students with the knowledge and training needed to obtain a POST License. The student will earn 42-46 college credits after the completion of the academy.

MACLEA also offers a full range of Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for licensed Missouri peace officers at both the student and instructor levels.  Very affordable contract CEH training rates are available.  Call us at 573-518-2148 or pgolden@mineralarea.edu for more information.

Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy held it's first training class in 1994.  We take pride in preparing recruits mentally, physically, ethically, and with proficiency of skills to perform the police duties at a high level of competency.  Throughout the program, students will participate in class room instruction, intense physical training, and live training exercises.

MACLEA is recognized by P.O.S.T. as an accredited training program.  With a 95% employment rate after graduation, it shows we are the best choice for future law enforcement officers.
