Central Intelligence Agency CIA--Up-to-date listing of declassified reports and studies. This site has many links to other intelligence sites.

Criminal Justice Reference Service--One of the most extensive sources of information on criminal and juvenile justice in the world, providing services to an international community of policymakers and professionals.

Federal Register--The official online edition authorized by the Administrative Committee of the Federal Register.

Federal Reserve Education--Provides access to materials for teachers; elementary, high school and college students; and consumers trying to decipher complicated financial issues.  Features:  matching games and word puzzles for younger students and interactive simulations for older students.

Firstgov.gov--U.S. General Services Administration:  The official web portal to government information.  Patrons can:

  • file for Social Security or other government benefits
  • apply for government grants
  • purchase government property such as real estate, cars or other surplus property
  • apply for government jobs
  • renew a driver's license
  • get a passport
  • find the cheapest gas prices
  • contact elected officials
  • and get the same great information in Spanish at Espanol.gov

  • NASA--Kennedy Space Center site has an abundance of space flight information such as flight archives, live video feeds, vehicle specs and upcoming events. Take the virtual shuttle tour or track a countdown.
National Archives and Records Administration--NARA is an independent Federal agency that helps preserve our nation's history by overseeing the management of all Federal records.  It's mission is to ensure ready access to the essential evidence that documents the rights of American citizens, the actions of Federal officials, and the national experience.

Presidents of the United States

  • American Presidents:  Life Portraits--The Library of Congress has made a series of video segments from "American Presidents:  Life Portraits," produced by the C-SPAN public service cable network.
  • Presidents of the United States--In this resource you will find background information, election results, cabinet members, notable events, and some points of interest on each of the presidents. Links to biographies, historical documents, audio and video files, and other presidential sites are also included to enrich this site.
  • Rutherford B. Hayes--Many manuscripts, documents and other resources including the entire personal diary writings of Hayes from age 12 until his death.
  • Abraham Lincoln--Sixteenth president of the United States.
     
  • Ronald Reagan--Web site for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
     
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt--The only president elected to four terms.  The site proclaims to have 10,000 digitalized documents and focuses more on his papers and less on his life. 
     
  • Theodore Roosevelt--Provides information on his life and ideals.
