Reading and Study Skills, is a refresher course in study activities necessary for success in college. It is designed to increase a student's reading efficiency by concentrating on improvements in vocabulary, comprehension, and reading rates. Note-taking, test-taking, and other study skills are taught as a regular part of the class. Open to all students.

Reading and Study Skills will help students improve the skills that make survival and success in college classes much easier. The student who is willing to learn and practice the methods taught in this class can expect an improvement in the reading efficiency skills of vocabulary, comprehension, and speed. In addition, a student can expect to improve the study skills of note-taking, text study, time management, library use, and test taking.

Does not apply on an A.A. degree.
