English Composition II is a continuation of Comp I, emphasizing the thinking process in addition to refining the writing process. In this class you will have the opportunity to write a variety of papers exploring effective techniques for writing example, cause/effect, definition, and argument/persuasion papers, all of which you will use not only in other college classes but also as part of almost any job you choose. In addition, you will learn how to use the ideas of other people and how to properly document them in a research paper.

A large portion of the course will be devoted to the study of documentation and to the writing of a research paper.

PREREQUISITE: a C or better in Comp I.
