English Composition I is designed to help the student write clearly and effectively. Emphasis is placed on mastery of writing skills necessary to the student's education and career. Subject matter includes grammar, punctuation, usage, sentence structure, and various patterns of organizing and developing paragraphs and essays. PREQUISITE: ACT English=19; ASSET=42; or a grade of 'C' or higher in ENG 097.
