Welcome to Public Speaking, Spring 2008! In this class, you will be introduced to the various types of speaking you may encounter in your professional, civic, and personal lives.  In addition, you will become acquainted with the foundation of public speaking, the tradition of oral rhetoric.  In doing so, you will discover the necessary skills you must develop in order to prepare and deliver effective speeches, including the modern adaptations of props, technological and otherwise, that can enhance your presentations.
