ORGANIC
CHEMISTRY I
Course
Description
The first
half of a two semester course where the theory of the fundamental
reactions of organic compounds are studied and practiced. This
course will lay a sound foundation of organic chemistry for the
student who has chosen chemistry or chemical engineering as a
major field of study. It is also for the student who has chosen
a field of study such as dentistry, pre-medicine, or pharmacy,
where organic chemistry is a supporting subject.
Three
one-hour lectures and two three-hour laboratories per week. Part
of the laboratory time may be used for problem solving when the
need arises. The prerequisite for this course is the completion
of General Chemistry I and II with a grade of C or better.
ORGANIC
CHEMISTRY II
Course
Description

who has chosen a filed of study such as dentistry, premedicine,
or pharmacy, where organic chemistry is a supporting subject.

is the completion of Organic Chemistry I with a grade of C or
better.
