Description
The first
of a twosemester presentation of the fundamental concepts of
chemistry for the science and engineering major. The laboratory
emphasizes quantitative measurements and procedures. The course
consists of three onehour lecturediscussion periods, one onehour
problem period, and one threehour laboratory per week. Students
are expected to have a good background in algebra and a fundamental
knowledge of chemical terminology.
