AGR112 Animal Science

Alan Bayless - Agribusiness Instructor

Animal Science is a course designed to provide first year agriculture students an introduction to the fundamental biological principles of animal science including reproduction, genetics, nutrition, and lactation, as well as current issues related to the animal sciences. Field trips and laboratory sessions allow students first hand experience with many of these topics.   Major species will be used to cover basic principles; however, managing and marketing of these animals will be reserved for advanced courses.
