Rad Review Easy

In 1983, because of the shortage of Radiologic Technologists in rural Southeast Missouri, a Radiology Program was started at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri. The initial accreditation was for 14 students and 3 clinical sites.  The Radiology Program at MARMC developed an affiliation agreement with Mineral Area College in 1993.  The agreement allowed the Radiology students to graduate with a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from MARMC and an Associate's of Science Degree from MAC.  On July 1, 2009, the Radiology Program transitioned from Mineral Area Regional Medical Center to Mineral Area College where it is accredited with 7 clinical sites.

The Radiology program is a five semesters, full time program.  There are pre-requisite classes to complete before applying.  The application process starts in January and ALL application materials must be returned by May 1st (including transcripts, health statements, reference forms, etc.)  The Selection Committee evaluates GPA, Reference Forms, Compass/ACT/Accuplacer scores and the HESI entrace exam scores to determine final selection.  The number of students accepted each year is dependent on the number of students each clinical site houses.

The Radiology Program is accredited by:
