Each Spring the Science Department hosts the WYSE Academic Challenge for this area. The Academic Challenge is a set of competitive tests prepared by the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering ( WYSE ) organization. This competition has been operating in Illinois since 1975, and this was the 12th year that MAC hosted a regional competition.  The 2012 Regional Competition was held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 on the Mineral Area College Campus.

Please send the list of your students, and their two planned tests, either by e-mail or regular mail.
