The St. Louis Gateway Arch                                                                01/20/2007

Crammed in tiny elevator pods, ninth through eleventh graders rode bravely to the top of the St. Louis Gateway Arch, 630 feet in the air, for a breath taking, first time view of St. Louis.  Once back on the ground, students explored the Museum of Westward Expansion, full of authentic artifacts, photos, journals and maps, documenting the lives of the American Indians, mountain people, pioneers like Lewis and Clark, and others who helped shape the West.
