ETS students are eligible to receive two (2) waivers to take the ACT exam for FREE. ETS recommends using one your junior year and one your senior year.
COMPASS Exam Waiver
ETS students are eligible to receive a waiver to take the COMPASS exam for free. The COMPASS exam is an entrance exam for Mineral Area College and other institutions. Unlike the ACT, the COMPASS is not a timed exam.
***Ask your Advisor for more information about each of these waivers.***
ETS seniors are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship to any post-secondary school of their choice for the upcoming fall semester. Each application will include an essay about a goal that you set and an explanation of how your involvement in ETS helped you achieve that goal. Conclude your essay by outlining the educational goals you hope to achieve during your college years. At least one scholarship will be given each year, more will be given if the budget allows.
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
The FAFSA is the primary application used by federal, state, and institutional financial assistance entities in determining an individual's eligibility for grants, loans, work-study, and scholarships. The FAFSA becomes available January 1st of each year, and there are different deadlines for different programs. Every prospective and current college student should file the FAFSA each year while attending college.
Reaching goals doesn't have to be a solo effort. ETS is here to help.
