WORK STUDY PROGRAM
What is the Student Work Study Program?
The Student Work Study Program is a federally funded financial based program designed to give eligible part-time or full-time MAC students the opportunity to work on campus around their class schedule.
Where do I get an application?
Applications are available in the Career Planning and Employment Services (Arts & Sciences Building room 117), Student Services, or go online and print an application: Work Study Application.
How do I know if I am eligible for the program?
Take the completed application to Student Services. After it is processed, you will receive an email regarding your eligibility for the program from Financial Aid.
How many hours can I work?
It depends on the award amount. Eligible students can work up to 17 hours a week on campus for minimum wage ($7.85/hour).
You need to know . . .
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit a Work Study application to the Financial Aid office in Student Services to be considered for this program.
Student award amounts are based on financial need and additional financial aid such as, scholarships, student loans and government funded programs will decrease the award amount.
The program runs July 1 - June 30. To continue participating in the Work Study Program, students must re-apply each year.
