Job Description: Thurman, Shinn & Company is a CPA firm which provides a full-range of professional services which include: tax planning and compliance, accounting, auditing, attest services, payroll, business valuations, out-source controllership services, estate planning, and eldercare services. The Office Manager provides support for all three company offices and staff. It is responsible for overall office management for the Farmington office daily operations and facilities. This position functions with a great degree of independence in performing the duties and responsibilities and is required to have an excellent understanding of the office environment, structure, requirements, etc.
Min. Degree Req.: Associate's Degree
Job Requirements: • Provide administrative assistance to partners and staff accountants on complex and confidential projects and presentations; anticipating and providing all necessary administrative support. • Prepare reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, documents, meeting minutes, and agendas. • Support unit staff travel and conference needs, including but not limited to ensuring policy compliance, hotel accommodations, flight arrangements, conference registrations, and appropriate reimbursements. • Provide professional support in the organization and coordination of conferences, seminars, workshops, etc. • Manage the operations relating to building management, supply and mail services, forms distribution, procurement services, central office equipment support, facility needs and services, and other related activities associated with a centralized office management work unit. • Work with the management team on special projects e.g. space allocations, office and computer equipment purchases, etc
Required Skills: A well-qualified candidate will possess the following preferred qualifications. • 1-3 years’ work experience providing administrative support to managers on complex and confidential projects and presentations; anticipating and providing all necessary administrative support. • Demonstrated experience as a team leader or supervisor. • Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Office products (i.e., email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). • IT help desk and/or IT troubleshooting experience.
