All activities, demands, conditions and requirements are linked to essential job functions, except where noted. POSITION SUMMARY: Perform diversified duties in maintaining accounting records. Create entries from a variety of sources for input into ledgers, journals and cash books. Analyze data, crosscheck, make comparisons, balance accounts, take trial balances and make daily deposits. Attend to follow-up schedule for notes payable, receivable, and interest. Compare sales
Min. Degree Req.: High School Diploma
Job Requirements: 1. Match purchase order receiver with vendor invoice, comparing quantities, price and description. Discrepancies are to be noted on variance form and sent to PO originator for clarification. 2. Schedule and prepare checks weekly. 3. Prepare sales and use tax reports. 4. Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and preparing checks. 5. Monitor petty cash, record transactions, and prepare reports. Review expense reports. 6. Prepare month end reconciliations and JE for month end close process. 7. Perform account analysis for month end close. 8. Maintain folder for every capital project. Make sure original documents such as capital expense requests, vendor invoices and other pertinent documents are enclosed. 9. Aid in the preparation of financial documents on a monthly basis if needed. 10. Back up the credit and collections position when she is out.
Required Skills: Requires a broad education equivalent to a high school education with knowledge in math and basic accounting functions. Minimum of four years bookkeeping with payable experience. Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Computer, adding machine Software: All Microsoft office software is recommended.
