Job Title: Special Events Coordinator

Job Description: Missouri Valley Community Action Agency, a private, not-for-profit agency, is seeking a qualified individual to plan, develop and execute the agency's first Show Me Economic and Social Justice Film Fesitval. The purpose of the festival is to increase public awareness and understanding of issues relating to social and economic justice which includes poverty in America. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of all aspects of a three-day event to be held in September 2010. Min. Degree Req.: High School Diploma
Job Requirements: The successful candidate does not have to be based in Marshall, MO and will not be asked to relocate but he or she must be available for meetings and presentations as requierd to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Must have marketing and event planning experience. Experience in participating in film festivals would be preferred.
Required Skills: Must be able to handle all aspects from start to finish of the event, including developing partnerships with other organizations to include additional activities that will enhance the festival.
