Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, you will learn to prepare simple federal and state tax returns for low-income families in your community. If you are a business student or perhaps going into social services, this is a great opportunity to receive class credit and make a difference for those who need assistance at the same time.
Min. Degree Req.: High School Diploma
Job Requirements: All training is provided by the IRS. No accounting experience is necessary.
Required Skills: Must have the desire to help others who cannot prepare their own basic tax returns, or afford to pay a preparer.
