Job Description: Job 01/08/2018 to 05/25/2018 Seed Technicians are key members of our seed processing and packaging team at the Hazelwood Seed Center. As a multidimensional role, Technicians are involved in all areas of seed processing and packaging that will help drive industry leading agricultural research. In this position, you will work closely with, and support on-site personnel to continuously improve our processes and consistently establish the highest standards in the industry for safety, seed quality, cost, and supply reliability.
Min. Degree Req.: Associate's Degree
Job Requirements:
Required Skills: . Responsibilities Include: • Inventory Management • Shipping/Receiving • Conditioning: Shelling, sizing, cleaning, and treatment application (Candidates may be required to obtain a Not-For-Hire Commercial Operator Seed Treatment License) • Counting and Sorting Seed used for research • Warehousing: Organizing, moving and placing seed into storage • Utilizing electronic systems across all processing and packaging functions • Understand and accurately execute verbal and written tasks delivered in English. Required Skills/Experience: • Associates Degree or equivalent • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. • Ability to pass a drug screen Desired Skills/Experience: • Mechanical Abilities (able to operate and troubleshoot equipment) • Familiarity with Windows OS • Basic-Intermediate Computer Skills
