Job Description: The Space Museum is growing rapidly both in content, outreach and popularity and is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals to give back to their community and inspire thousands to a life of excellence. It is an exciting environment that will provide the volunteer with a rewarding feeling of accomplishment and the opportunity to meet history makers that you might otherwise only see in the news. We have appeared on the Discovery Channel, been the subject of many TV news stories and voted the attraction of the month by Roadside America in 2015 just to name a few of our accomplishments. We are affiliated and friends with many astronauts and other space and high technology "movers and shakers." We are very serious about what we do but we also believe that if you cannot have fun it is not worth the effort so if you wish to make a difference and have a good time doing it then contact us and lets get going!

Job Requirements: We have volunteer opportunities for assistance in many areas. They include but are not limited to: curatorial service cataloging of artifacts restoration and presentation advertising/promotion/social media docent service/that is hosting and attendant service providing tours at the museum fund raising historical interpretation educational outreach custodial webmaster volunteer coordination
Required Skills: The only requirements are motivation, honesty , reliability and a commitment to serve. We will find a place where your skill set will fit. Any amount of service is useful

Hours Per Week: We are currently open Friday and Saturday 9 - 5 and Sunday 1 - 5 but there are many activities that can be completed during non open hours. Those activities that involve the internet can be done from the individuals home. We would also like to be open more hours especially during the summer and vacation season.
