We need both short-term and long-term volunteers to teach classes, assist with the shop, fundraising, marketing, and more. You can work as little or as much as you like. Below are some of the "jobs" available:
Assist clients shopping in the Clothes Closet and Boutique areas. These worksers are schedule on Monday morning, afternoon, or evening.
Watch children of clients while the parent(s) attend class. Weekly two-hour shifts available on Monday mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
Make copies of lessons, copy client forms, help with mailings and special events. Office workers can be used Monday through Thursday during regular office hours.
Sort, clean and repair donated material items to get them ready for the Clothes Closet and Boutique. Resource workers usually work Thursday morning/afternoon.
Special events staff needed for any of the following: WALK Team, Banquet Team, Baby Bottle Coordinator.
Graphic design, video production, photography and/or newsletter to church youth groups.
Flyer distribution, partnering with businesses for PRC events, or keeping brochures stocked in designated locations
Organize the resources we have available, create and maintain a lending system to churches and youth groups.
Parenting Class Mentor
Present lessons from PRC curricula for 4-week classes that meet Monday mornings, afternoons, or evenings. New volunteers will spend several weeks shadowing a current "Mentor" and then will lead the mentor's class before being assigned his/her own class. Topics include prenatal care, fetal development, infanct care, safety, child development, Bible study and more.
Parent Support Class Mentor
Present lessons from PRC curricula for 4-week classes to individuals who have been ordered to take parenting classes. New volunteers will spend several weeks shadowing a current "Mentor" and then will lead the mentor's class before being assigned his/her own class.
HOPE (Healing our Past Experiences) Class Mentor
Present established curriculum to clients or requested groups. Classes meet weekly for 8 weeks. This class is for girls and women of all ages who need healing. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. Volunteers will receive training.
CARE (Center for Adolescent Relationship Education) Presenter
Present abstinence material to classes in the public school system. Presenters go through a training seminar and must job shadow a current Presenter. Volunteers are scheduled for five-day sessions.
