Mineral Area College Continuing Education will lead a
community travel group to....

Ireland in May 2020....

with an option to extend your travels for a

four or five day excursion in Scotland!

On our last community trip to Italy, our group of friends and acquaintances had an amazing time getting to know each other as we explored the alleyways of Venice together, took in the most exquisite works of art from Renaissance Masters- and just laughing on the bus!

This time, we want you to join us for an adventure of a lifetime!

During our week in Ireland, you'll get a feel for the local energy and living traditions of two of Ireland's largest cities- Dublin and Galway -as we take in renown sites like St. Patrick's Cathedral, Lynch's Castle, see Galway's medieval walls and the Spanish Arch. We'll get to watch fisherman at work in the village of Cladaugh; we'll stroll the broad expanse of the Eyre Square- and maybe even enjoy a pint in the Temple Bar district in Dublin.

We'll also explore the Irish countryside- after all, don't we all want to see the emerald green rolling hills, dotted with great, rounded stone and grazing sheep?

We'll make our way by private charter bus to County Cork, via the Burren and 700 foot Cliffs of Moher-- two of Ireland's most dramatic landscapes!

(Cliffs of Moher pictured on the right.)

In the ocean-side village of Cobh where great ships bound for North America were once launched, we'll explore the Heritage Centre then embark on a guided tour of Cork.

--And no trip to Ireland would be complete without a visit to Blarney Castle to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone!

(An Abbey in Galway is pictured left.)

We'll have plenty of free time, too, so you can explore on your own or break off with a few of your favorite group members. I always provide an in-depth guide loaded with more attractions, museums, places to shop and eat than you could possibly get to in the time available. I've already scoped out a fantastic festival in a neighboring village that should be going on while we're in Galway!

Don't miss this exciting journey.

Send your email address to me today and I will keep you in the loop for all of the pertinent information like costs and dates- and you'll be invited to join our group to learn more about the history and culture of the places we'll see before we head out.

This group will also determine the itinerary for the tour extension through Scotland. That's right- you'll help decide what we'll see in Scotland and how long we'll stay!
