(4/24/14)  Lady Cards to host Summer Basketball Camp.  The Cardinals will have their camp this summer on Tuesday, June 10th through Thursday, June 12th.  Camp price is $65 if you sign up before June 1st and $70 if you register on-site.  Below is the camp flyer.  Contact Briley Milfeld at 518-2259 if you have any questions.

(4/21/14) MAC Lady Cardinal Basketball- 2014 MCCAC All-Conference Team Released

 Three members of the MAC Lady Cardinal Basketball team were named to this year’s MCCAC All-Conference team.  Congratulations to U’Knique Gaines, Robneisha Lee, and Mary Jane Buschmann for being named All-Conference.

(4/8/14) Lady Cards to host open gyms for local basketball players. The women's basketball team will host spring open gyms that are open to any high school girls basketball player in the community.  These will take place on Wednesday's at 5:30 pm in the Bob Sechrest Field House.  You can follow the schedule at @cardswomenbball on Twitter.  If you have any further questions, contact Briley at bmilfeld@mineralarea.edu.

(3/5/14) Region 16 Women’s All-Region Team Announced.The MAC Lady Cardinals had three players named to the Region 16 All-Region Team.  U’Knique Gaines was a first team selection while Robneisha Lee and Mary Jane Buschmann was named to the second team.

(3/3/14) Lady Cards season ends in Region 16 Tournament.  MAC fell in overtime to #1 seed State Fair on Friday in the Region 16 semi-finals by the score of 85-78.  The Cardinals end their season at 17-12.  The Lady Cards were lead in scoring by Kasia Kiejdrowska, who had 23 points. Mineral Area was Co-Champions of the MCCAC conference this season.

(2/26/14)  Lady Cards advance in Region 16 Tournament with win over Crowder.  #4 seed MAC advanced to the semi-finals last night defeating Crowder by the score of 81-59 at the Bob Sechrest Field House.  Mineral Area will now play State Fair on Friday night at 5:00 at MAC.  The winner will advance to the Region 16 championship game.

(2/24/14)  MAC loses final regular season game to State Fair.  Mineral Area lost its final regular season game on Saturday to the State Fair Roadrunners by the score of 72-59.  The loss leaves the Lady Cards with the #4 seed in the upcoming Region 16 Tournament.  MAC will host Crowder on Tuesday night at 5:00 pm in the first round of the tournament. 

The Region 16 Tourney will then continue on Friday, February 28th with semi-final action.  The games Friday will be at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  The championship game will be held at the Bob Sechrest Field House on Saturday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m.

(2/10/14)  Cardinals fall to Three Rivers on Homecoming Night.  The Lady Cards narrowly missed winning the MCCAC Conference title outright on Saturday, losing to the Three Rivers Raiders by the score of 81-76.  MAC (15-9, 4-4) was lead by U’Knique Gaines who had 18 points.  The Cardinals have two Region 16 road games left before with Crowder and State Fair which will determine their seeding for the Region 16 tournament.

(1/31/14)  MAC women to host Moberly tomorrow.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team

host Moberly on Saturday, February 1st.  Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.  The game has been moved back to 3:00 p.m. due to the girl’s high school preliminary game on Saturday between Dexter High School and Miller Career Academy.  The high school game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Bob Sechrest Field House.

(1/30/14)  Women clinch share of MCCAC Conference Title.  The Mineral Area women defeated St. Louis Community College last night by the score of 68-40.  With the win, MAC improved to 5-0 in the MCCAC and clinched at least a share of the regular season conference title.  The Cardinals can win the championship outright if they defeat Three Rivers on February 8th at home.  That game will be a part of the college's annual homecoming activities.

(1/21/14) MAC defeats Jefferson College in Region XVI and MCCAC contest.  The Mineral Area women defeated Jefferson College last night in a home contest.  The win takes the Cards to an undefeated 4-0 in the MCCAC.  MAC will take on State Fair on Saturday at 1:00 at the Bob Sechrest Field House.

(1/14/14)  Lady Cards defeat Arkansas Baptist.  The women's basketball team earned a home win over The Arkansas Baptist Lady Buffaloes last night.  MAC received a balanced scoring attack led by Robneisha Lee (Memphis, TN) who had 23 points.  MAC improves to 11-6 overall and have won 3 games in a row.

(1/5/14) Women fall to arch-rival Three Rivers. The Lady Cardinals basketball team traveled to Poplar Bluff on Saturday, January 4th to take on the Three Rivers Lady Raiders.  MAC lost the game by the score of 85-77.  The MAC Lady Cardinals now have a record of 8-6 on the season.

(11/18/13)  Lady Cards go 1-1 in Iowa Western Classic.  The MAC women's basketball team lost to Iowa Western before turning around and defeating Cloud County, Kansas this past weekend in the Iowa Western Classic.  Mineral Area was down 20 to Cloud County before posting a huge second half to improve to 5-1 on the season.  MAC will now wait to play in the Vincennes Classic in Vincennes, Indiana on November 29th and 30th.

(11/11/13)  MAC women now 4-0 after weekend sweep.  The Lady Cards played at home this past weekend as a part of the Hampton Inn Kickoff Classic.  On Friday, MAC defeated Vincennes 66-61.  Tayla Corrigan grabbed 15 rebounds in the victory.  On Saturday, MAC won easily over the John A. Logan Lady Volunteers by the score of 66-40.  U'Knique Gaines out of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Independence Community College had 23 points and 5 rebounds. Mineral  Area is now 4-0 on the season.  They will travel north this weekend to play in the Iowa Western Classic.

(11/3/13)  Lady Cards off to fast start.  MAC had an impressive opening weekend knocking off Mid-Continent College and Kishwaukee to start off the season 2-0.  The Lady Cards cruised on Saturday over Mid-Continent winning the game by the score of 90-46.  Freshman Kasia Kiejdrowska (Poland) had 13 points and 5 assists.

On Saturday, Mineral Area defeated Kishwaukee, who is the #6 ranked team in the latest NJCAA Division II poll.  The Cardinals were lead by Tayla Corrigan- Adelaide, South Australia (Seymour College) who had 16 points and 17 rebounds. 

MAC will now play against at home in the Hampton Inn Classic against Vincennes at 7:00 on Friday night. 

(10/29/13)  Lady Cards open up Saturday. The MAC Lady Cards basketball team will begin their regular season schedule on Saturday, November 2nd as they participate in the John A. Logan Tournament.  The Lady Cards will play Mid Continent on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and Kishwaushee at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2nd.  Your first chance to see the women play at home is on Friday, November 8th at home in Hampton Inn Classic against  Vincennes at 7:00.  MAC is coming off a 21-8 season in which they were ranked as high as #13 in the NJCAA National Poll.

 

(9/4/13) Midnight Madness- (Mark Your Calendar) and Meet the Athletes Night- October 9th. We are just over month away from our Midnight Madness event.  This year we will be combining Midnight Madness with Meet the Athletes Night.  Come out and meet all of our athletes on Wednesday, October 9th at 5:00 p.m.  We will be grilling hot dogs in student parking lot C by the baseball field on the MAC Campus at 5:00 p.m.  The community is invited to come out and meet all of our athletes, cheerleaders, and Kirby the Cardinal.  After meeting the athletes and tailgating with the Cardinals will can then go into the Bob Sechrest Field House and root on the volleyball team as we play host to East Central College at 6:30 p.m.

(7/1/13)  Women's basketball to hold 1-day camp.  The MAC women's basketball team will hold a 1-day fundamental/shooting clinic for grades 1-12 from 9am to 3pm on Friday July 26th at the Bob Sechrest Field House located on MAC's main campus.  The cost is $40 per player.

(5/30/13)  Cardinal Camp Information.  Mineral Area women's basketball will host a 2013 summer instructional camp for any aspiring basketball player that is entering the 4th grade and older.  The camps dates are set for Tuesday, June 11th through Thursday, June 13th.

(4/24/13)  Cardinals sign St. James standout MJ Buschmann.  Mineral Area has signed St. James senior MJ Buschmann for the 2013-2014 season.  St. James has a long history of success as a girls basketball program and Buschmann has been one of their top players in each of the last four seasons.  As a senior she averaged 16.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 steals to help the Lady Tigers finish 26-5 and take third place in the Class 3 State Tournament.

(4/24/13)  Terra Helm from Fredericktown signs with Lady Cards.  Fredericktown High School senior Terra Helm has agreed to play basketball next season for Mineral Area.  Terra was an All-Conference and All-District player for Fredericktown this past season.

(4/24/13)  Chelsea Roberts signs with UT-Martin.  MAC freshman Chelsea Roberts (South Australia) has signed her NCAA National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Tennessee-Martin next season. Roberts was an All-Region 16 honorable mention honoree after the Lady Cardinals went 21-8 and were ranked as high as No. 13 in the nation at one point last season.

Roberts led MAC in scoring (13.7 points per game), rebounding (6.5 per game), field goal percentage (139-for-248, 56 percent) and steals (55, 1.9 per game).She also added 2.3 assists per game and shot 81.2 percent from the free throw line (108-for-133).

UT-Martin is a NCAA Division I school that participates in the Ohio Valley Conference.  They were 19-15 last season.

(4/23/13)  Women's basketball to host trivia night.  The MAC women's basketball team will host a "Spring Trivia Night Fundraiser" for anyone that is interested in supporting our team.  The event will take place Saturday, May 4th at 6:00 pm at St. Francois Country Club.  Read the attachment below for more information.

(4/23/13)  Cardinals sign three more from Rogers Heritage High School.  Mineral Area women's basketball has signed three more players.  They are all from Rogers Heritage High School in Rogers, Arkansas.

 Lacey Murray and Brittany and Ashley Ward signed their NJCAA letter's of intent to play basketball for the Cardinals next year.

(4/10/13)  MAC announces the signing of Riley Reddin from Parkway South.  The women's basketball team has signed point guard Riley Reddin from Parkway South High School in St. Louis, Missouri.

(4/10/13) Lady Cards sign Alayah Cooper-Johnson from Cape Central.  MAC is hot on the recruiting trail this Spring and has just announced the signing of Alayah Cooper-Johnson from Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, MO. "Alayah is going to be a great player for the Lady Cards and we are excited about her energy and intensity!" commented Assistant Coach Briley Milfed.

(4/8/13)  Cardinal Sophomore named to All-American Team.  Janelle Travis was named NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American.  She helped lead her team to a #13 national ranking after the Lady Cards won 16 out of their first 17 games.

(3/6/13)  Janelle Travis named First Team All-Region.  Sophomore guard Janelle Travis (Lafayette, CA and West Point Academy) was named to the 1st team All-Region 16 Team.  Janelle had a terrific year for the Cardinals as their starting point guard.  She averaged 13.2 points per game and 5.4 assists per game.  She shot 44.1% from 3-point range.  Probably her most impressive stat was her free-throw shooting.  MAC has historically been a very good free-throw shooting team and Travis typified that this year.  She missed one free-throw all season (63-64) for an amazing 98.4 percentage.

Chelsea Roberts (Loreto College, South Australia) was named to the Honorable Mention Team.  Roberts, a freshman, lead the team in scoring with a 13.9 points per game average, along with leading the team with 6.7 rebounds per game.  The Lady Cards had a very good season climbing to as high as #13 in the NJCAA national polls and finishing with an overall record of 21-8.

(2/27/13)  Cardinals fall to State Fair in Region XVI Tournament.  The women's basketball team fell to State Fair last night by the score of 67-64 in the first round of the Region XVI Tournament. After being down 5 at halftime MAC seemingly seized control of the game holding a 10 point advantage with 11:07 left.  State Fair rallied however, and were up by three points before Janelle Travis hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key to tie it.  Then, State Fair worked the ball down the court to Kaci Cason who banked in a 20 feet shot from the baseline to end the Lady Cards season. 

MAC (21-8) got off to a terrific start this year winning 16 of their first 17 games and climbing to 13th in the NJCAA Division 1 national polls.  Sophomore guard Travis hit 63 of 64 free throws on the season leading the country with a 98.4 percentage.

(2/26/13)  Opening round of Region XVI Tournament tonight at MAC.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team will host the first round of the Region 16 tournament on Tuesday, February 26th.  Mineral Area received the #4 seed and will play State Fair in the Quarter Final round at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bob Sechrest Field House.  Should the Lady Cardinals advance, the Semi Finals and Finals will be held at Three Rivers Community College on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd.  Game time for Friday’s game would be at 5:00 p.m. with the Finals being played at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

 

(2/25/13)  MAC wins against State Fair on Homecoming night.  The Lady Cards defeated State Fair on Saturday night as a part of the college's annual Homecoming activities.  MAC used stellar shooting to post a 86-72 victory moving them to 21-7 on the season. 

They will now turn around and face the Roadrunners again at the Bob Sechrest Field House on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.  This time it will be the first round of the Region XVI Tournament.

(2/11/13)  Cardinals to honor longtime employee Linda Huffman.  The women's basketball team will honor former MAC registrar Linda Huffman at its home contest against Crowder on Saturday.  Huffman, who died in January following a battle with cancer, worked at MAC from 1995 until her passing. The Lady Cardinals are currently leading a fundraising campaign that will benefit both the Meredith Huffman Scholarship Foundation, headed by Linda’s daughter, and the Walker Johns Foundation which helps three local children with cancer.

(2/4/13) Mineral Area improves to 19-4 after Region XVI win against Moberly.  The women's basketball team got a key Region XVI home victory on Saturday defeating the Moberly Greyhounds 59-41. MAC was lead by Janelle Travis who had 23 points including 8 of 8 from the free-throw line.  Travis is shooting 98% from the free-throw line this season. 

The Lady Cards are now 4-3 in Region XVI and play on Wednesday up at St. Louis Community College in a double-header with the men's team.

(1/31/13)  Cardinals grab road victory over Vincennes.  The MAC women got back on track last night with a 79-67 victory at Vincennes, Indiana.  The Lady Cards had dropped two games in a row but put forth one of their better efforts this season to improve to 18-4.  The Cardinals were lead by Chelsea Pannier (Cape Central) who scored a game high 25 points.   The Lady Cards will take on Moberly at home on Saturday the 2nd at 5:00.

(1/7/13)  Lady Cards notch 10th straight win against rival Three Rivers.  The women's basketball team defeated Three Rivers on Saturday night at the Bob Sechrest Field House by the score of 88-74. MAC had its typical balanced scoring attack led by Janelle Travis and Chelsea Roberts with 17 a piece. 

MAC (15-1) is off to one of its best starts in school history and await the Jefferson College Vikings at home Wednesday.  The Lady Cards are ranked 18th and are sure to move up when the rankings come out this week.

(12/31/12)  MAC point guard featured in the Napa Valley Register.  Janelle Travis, a sophomore point guard for the nationally ranked Lady Cards was featured in a story by Marty James of the Napa Valley Register out of California.  You can read the complete article here:

(12/31/12)  Cardinals defeat #4 Iowa Western on last second shot.  The women's basketball team tallied one of their most impressive wins ever Saturday in dramatic fashion.  MAC was down 80-66 with 3:40 left to play, but stormed back scoring 16 consecutive points, culiminating with a last second shot by Chelsea Roberts that fell through the basket as time expired, giving the Lady Cards the 82-80 victory.  Roberts scored 15 of her game high 25 in the second half including 13 of 15 from the free-throw line.  MAC, traditionally a very good free-throw shooting team over the years, shot 26 of 32 from the line to claim its 8th straight win. 

Mineral Area (13-1) is currently ranked 18th in the nation will most likely climb into the top 15 when the next polls are released. The win was a part of the two-day Hampton Holiday Inn Classic over the weekend.  MAC defeated Lewis & Clark 84-67 on Friday at the Bob Sechrest Field House in the first game.

The Lady Cards now play three home games in a row starting on January 2nd against Madison College.  They will play Saturday the 5th at 5:00 pm against rival Three Rivers before a Wednesay, 6:00 home start against Jefferson College.

(12/17/12)  Lady Cards gain another impressive road win.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team defeated John A. Logan over the weekend, in Carterville, Illinois by the score of 86-67.  MAC was in a tight game through the first half, but pulled away in the second half to improve their road record to 8-0 on the season. 

The Cardinals (11-1) were sparked by Janelle Travis (Lafayette, CA) and her 5 consecutive three-pointers in the first half.  Chelsea Roberts (South Australia) had another solid game for MAC scoring 18 points while going 7 for 7 from the free-throw line. 

The Lady Cards will be at home over Christmas Break playing in the Hampton Inn Holiday Classic at the Bob Sechrest Field House. The Cardinals will play against Lewis & Clark at 3:00 on Friday, before the marquee game of the tournament that matches up the 18th ranked Cardinals against the 4th ranked Iowa Western Reivers on Saturday the 29th at 3:00.

(12/6/12)  19th ranked Cardinals defeat Jefferson in road contest.  MAC went on the road last night and defeated the Jefferson College Vikings 66-47.  The Cardinals move to 1-0 in the MCCAC and 1-0 in the Region XVI.  Mineral Area ran away from the Vikings in the 2nd half, outscoring Jefferson 36-23. 

MAC (9-1) plays at home this Saturday against Olney at 2:00 at the Bob Sechrest Field House.

(12/3/12)  MAC sweeps at Vincennes Classic.  The Mineral Area women continued their solid play by traveling to Vincennes, Indiana and winning two games over the weekend.  In the first game, MAC defeated Owens College 64-56 before winning against Malcolm X 66-59. 

MAC (8-1) is currently the 22nd ranked team in the nation.  They will travel to Hillsboro, MO on Wednesday to take on Jefferson College at 5:00.

(11/26/12)  #16 Cardinals gain another road win.  Mineral Area defeated Olney College by the score of the 80-57.  Brittany Lawson was the high scorer for MAC with 18 points and 9 rebounds.  The Lady Cards (6-1) will now go on the road to play in the Vincennes CLassic on Friday and Saturday.

(11/21/12)  #24 Mineral Area drops home contest with Southwestern Illinois.  MAC lost a home game last night to Southwestern Illinois.  SWIC defeated MAC by the score of 79-75.  The Cardinals had just defeated the Blue Storm up in Belleville, but this time the Lady Cards could not pull out the victory. 

Mineral Area (5-1) will now travel to play against Olney Central on Friday at 5:30.

(11/15/12)  Lady Cards climb into top 25.  The NJCAA has released its national rankings for all Division I junior colleges and Mineral Area is ranked as the 24th best team in the country.  MAC has started hot this season winning all five games they have played.  They are currently the only team in the Region XVI ranked.

(11/13/12)  Women win another big road game, improve to 5-0.  The Lady Cards defeated Southwestern Illinois College last night 68-57 to continue its torrid start.  Chelsea Roberts had another big game for MAC by scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.  Point guard Janell Travis had 19 points as well. 

The Cardinals will play SWIC again, this time at home, on Tuesday, November 20th, before a road game with Olney Central on Friday at 5:30.

(11/12/12)  Lady Cards now 4-0 after weekend sweep.  The women's basketball team continues to roll winning two games this weekend over Carl Albert and John A. Logan as a part of the Tradition Inn Classic. 

MAC won 74-57 on Friday night. Courtney Knuckles had 21 points , 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals Chelsea Pannier added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals  Ashleigh Bow contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and Chelsea Roberts chipped in with 10 points, 4 steals.

On Saturday MAC defeated the John A. Logan Volunteers 88-72.  Chelsea Roberts lead all scorers with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals. Ashleigh Bow had 16 points.  Courtney Knuckles had 12 points Janelle Travis 11 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals.

The Cardinals will take on Southwestern Illinois tonight in Belleville at 5:30 PM.

(11/5/12)  Cardinals dominate with two wins to start season.  The women's basketball team traveled to Carterville, Illinois this weekend to start their season in the John A. Logan Classic.  MAC won both games to start the season 2-0.  On Saturday, MAC defeated Elgin Community College out of Elgin, Illinois by the score of 93-51.  Then, the Lady Cards came back on Sunday and beat Kankakee 80-45.  The Cardinals will be at home this weekend to participate in the Tradition Inn Classic.  MAC will play against Carl Albert on Friday at 7:00.  Then, they will play against John A. Logan on Saturday the 10th at 3:00.  All of these games will take place at the Bob Sechrest Field House.

(10/31/12)  MAC in action this weekend.  The new-look Mineral Area women's basketball team will start their season this weekend in the John A. Logan Classic.  MAC will play on Saturday against Elgin at 6:00.  They will play on Sunday at 1:00 against Kankakee. 

(10/8/12) Midnight Madness - Wednesday October 10th

Midnight Madness will be in the Bob Sechrest Field House directly following the MAC/Jefferson College volleyball game on Wednesday, October 10th. There will be free popcorn before the volleyball game. After the game, the cheerleaders, dance team, women’s basketball team, and men’s basketball team will be introduced. There will be a three point shootout and a slam dunk contest. At 10:00 p.m. there will be pizza and soda served.

(8/21/12) West Point guard Janelle Travis of Lafayette, CA transfers to Mineral Area to play basketball for the Lady Cards this year.  Janelle spent her first year of college at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and started the first six games last year as a freshman.  She has joined the Lady Cards this fall and will be coming in as a Sophomore.

(4/23/12)  Mineral Area sophomore Taylor Ignoto named NJCAA All-American.  Taylor Ignoto (Thousand Oaks, CA) has been named to the 2012 NJCAA

All-American Honorable Mention team.  Taylor was a 1st Team All-Region XVI player as well as a 1st Team MCCAC All-Conference player this year for the Lady Cards.  She has agreed to play basketball next season for Long Island University out of New York.

Mineral Area College Women's Basketball Camp June 12-14 (2012). The Mineral Area College Women's Basketball staff will be conducting a three-day summer instructional camp. Gary Koch's Instructional Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 12-14 (Tue-Thu) at Mineral Area College. The Camp is for boys & girls and will concentrate on shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, and strategy. (4/16/12)  Three Cardinals to continue their careers at NCAA Division I schools.

Three of the Mineral Area women's basketball teams top contributors from this past year have agreed to play at Divison I schools in the Fall.

(3/21/12)  Two Cardinals named to All-Region Team.  The women's basketball team had two of their sophomore's receive All-Region honors.  Taylor Ignoto (Thousand Oaks, CA) was named 1st team and Hanna Haden (Springfield, MO) was named Honorable Mention.

(2/29/12)  Cardinals win home finale over Vincennes.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team played its final home game last night against Vincennes College of Indiana.   The Lady Cards narrowly escaped, winning 67-66.  They will travel to play Crowder this Saturday for their last regular season game

(2/21/12)  MAC women win MCCAC and Region XVI contest over Three Rivers.

The Mineral Area Lady Cards got an important win on Homecoming night over the school's biggest rival; the Thee Rivers Raiders.  MAC jumped out to a commanding lead early, leading the game 16-1.  The game continued to favor the Cardinals throughout the most of the game as they cruised to a 91-64 victory.  Nathalie Felipe led MAC with 19 with Rita Banaszczak scoring 18.

Mineral Area is now 14-13 and will play play at State Fair on Saturday for their next game in a doubleheader with the men’s team.

(1/30/12)  Cardinals defeated by State Fair at home in close contest.  The women's basketball team lost by one point on Saturday night to the State Fair Roadrunners.  The game was close throughout with the Roadrunners squeaking out a 75-74 victory.  MAC is now back to 11-11 with a road game coming up on Saturday against Vincennes.

(1/23/12)  Women grab Region XVI win over Moberly.  The women's basketball team defeated the Moberly Greyhounds on Saturday night by the score of 62-57.  Taylor Ignoto had a team high 22 points and Hanna Haden hit 2 crucial free-throws and a critical 3 pointer to help the Lady Cards improve to 3-2 in the Region.  Mineral Area (12-9) will travel to Hillsboro on Tuesday to take on Jefferson College in a MCCAC and Region XVI contest.

(1/20/12)  Cardinals defeat Region XVI rival Iowa Western.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team got a much needed Region XVI win last night at the Bob Sechrest Field House.  MAC used a 13-2 run in the final 15 minutes to come away with a 56-50 victory.  Mineral Area (11-9) shot well from the free-throw line down the stretch to put away Iowa Western (13-6).  Taylor Ignoto once again led the Lady Cards with 17 points. 

The Cardinals will now and will host Moberly on Saturday for a 5 p.m. tip-off.

(12/9/11)  MAC hosts Rotary Shootout tomorrow at Bob Sechrest Field House.

The women's basketball team will play against Southwestern Illinois College tomorrow night at 5:00 pm in the annual Rotary Shootout. 

MAC is currently 7-5 after their MCCAC conference win against St. Louis Community College on Wednesday night.  The Cardinals are 2-0 in the MCCAC conference.  The entire days schedule is listed below.

(12/5/11) Cardinals go 2-0 in Vincennes Classic.  The women's basketball team has now won 3 in a row thanks to a couple of wins in the 2011 Vincennes Classic.  MAC defeated Olney Central on Friday by the score of 93-67.  The Cardinals turned around and defeated Rio Grande out of Ohio on Saturday 93-67. 

MAC (5-5) will now play 4 consecutive home games starting Wednesday against Meramec at 5:30.

(11/28/11)  Mineral Area splits in Cloud County Classic.  The women's basketball team went out to Concordia, Kansas to participate in the Cloud County Classic this past weekend.  The Lady Cards lost to Cloud County by the score of 71-63.  They rebounded to beat Butler Community College 66-61 on Sunday.  MAC is now 3-5 on the season.

(11/13/111)  Cardinals go 1-1 in Tradition Inn Tournament.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team got off to an impressive start on Friday night defeating John A. Logan 86-64 at the Bob Sechrest Field House.  MAC was lead in scoring by Taylor Ignoto and Kate Alemann who each scored 18 points.  Hanna Haden pitched in 16. 

The Cardinals came back Saturday and played SIUE-club team and fell narrowly 60-59.  They now take on Southwestern Illinois on Monday at 5:30 in Belleville, Illinois.

(10/17/11)  Women's basketball begins on November 11th.  The women's basketball team gets started at home in the Tradition Inn Classic on November 11th at 3:00 in the Bob Sechrest Field House.  MAC will take on John A. Logan at 3:00 pm on Friday, the 11th.  The Cardinals will play Saturday against Maryville JV 3:00.  The Cardinals have an impressive recruiting class and are looking to compete for the MCCAC and NJCAA Region XVI title this year. 

(9/15/11)  Midnight Madness is October 11th.  The Cardinals basketball teams will host their annual Midnight Madness events starting at 6:30 P.M.  This year's theme will be "Dig For a Cure" promoting Breast Cancer Awareness.  Fans are encouraged to wear pink to show support.  The MAC volleyball team will play Lindenwood-Belleville at 6:30 in the Bob Sechrest Field House.  This will be followed by a slam dunk contest, 3 point contest and men's and women's scrimmage. There will be free pizza and a chance for one lucky student to win free tuition.

(8/15/11) Meet the Cardinals scheduled for September 8th at Engler Park. 

Mineral Area College is inviting the community to come out and spend a few minutes meeting the athletes of all of our fine sports teams for the upcoming year.  Bring the kids out to meet the 2011-2012 Cardinals on Thursday evening, September 8, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Hall Pavilion in Farmington’s Engler Park.  Coaches and athletes from men’s and women’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s softball, men’s golf, women’s volleyball, and the MAC cheerleaders will be on hand.   The coaches will be grilling up hotdogs and serving soft drinks while athletes will host a variety of activities and games for the kids to play.

(6/7/11)  Two more Cardinals sign with NCAA Divsion II schools.  Local product Molly Barnes (Farmington) and Sonya Milford (Wellington, New Zealand) have agreed to play at 4-year schools next year.  Molly will play at the Universtiy of Missouri-St. Louis and Milford has decided to continue her career at Lindenwood University.

(5/3/11)  Briannica Tye signs to play at Robert Morris University.  MAC sophomore Briannica Tye has agreed to play at NCAA Division I Robert Morris University.  Robert Morris is located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania and competes in the Northeast Conference.  The Colonials were 16-14 last season. 

Briannica was an Honorable Mention All-American for the Cardinals her sophomore year.

(4/20/11) Gary Koch announces signing of 8 new players for next year. The women's basketball team has signed 8 players for the 2011-2012 season.  They are the following:

Nathalie Felipe from Flanagan H.S. in Miramar, FL. An Honorable Mention All Broward County (Miami) in H.S. She is a 5'11" guard/forward. 


Caroline Fister is from Poplar Bluff H.S., Poplar Bluff, MO. She is a 5'10" All SEMO Conference Team forward.


Brittany Lawson is from Cheyenne East, Cheyenne, WY. Lawson posted averages of 10.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.1 steals. 1st Team All State WY post/forward at 5'11".


Erin Littrell is from Farmington, MO. She is 5'9" and a 2nd team All Region guard/forward.


Chelsea Pannier is from Cape Central H.S., Cape Girardeau, MO. She is a 5'11"

Angela Randall is from North Tech H.S., St. Louis, MO. She is a 5'4" point guard averaging 11.3 ppg 6.9 apg in high school.

Robniesha Wood is from Hazelwood East H.S., St. Louis, MO. She is averaged 19 ppg in high school. She is a transfer from Florissant Valley.

(4/14/11) Emily Brumitt and Devonna Smith sign letter of intents to play at UMSL.  MAC sophomore's Emily Brumitt and Devonna Smith will continue their playing careers next season at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. UMSL is coached by Lisa Curliss Taylor and participates in the Great Lakes Valley conference. 

Emily is a 5'9" guard from Cape Girardeau.  She attended Notre Dame high school.  Devonna is a 5'11 forward from Kirkwood, MO and played at Kirkwood high school.

(4/6/11)  Briannica Tye receives All-American honors.  Sophomore point guard Briannica Tye has been named to the NJCAA All-American team.  Briannica is a 5'3"  sophomore point guard from Aurora, Illinois.  She averaged 13.6 points per game while dishing out 5.6 assists.  She was named to the honorable mention team. 

(3/5/11)  Two Cardinals named 1st-Team All-Conference.  Hanna Vette and Briannica Tye were named to the MCCAC All-Conference 1st team.  Briannica is a 5'3"  sophomore point guard from Aurora, Illinois.  She averaged 13.6 points per game while dishing out 5.6 assists.  Hanna is a 5'8" sophomore guard from Rock Port, Missouri.  She averaged 11.9 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds.

(3/4/11) Cardinals season ends in Region XVI Tournament.  The women's basketball team had their season end in the semifinals of the Region XVI Tournament on Friday night losing to 9th ranked State Fair 90-57.  MAC was up early on in the second half but State Fair went on a 30-4 run to surge ahead in the game and ultimately end the Cardinals season.  Emily Brumitt and Briannica Tye both had 14 points for MAC.

(3/2/11)  MAC gets big win in Region XVI Tournament.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team got their biggest win of the year last night in Poplar Bluff knocking off the Three Rivers Raiders in a 59-54 win. The Lady Cards got a big night from Briannica Tye who had 29 points.  Sonya Milford contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds. 

Next up for the Cardinals is a trip to Jefferson City to play State Fair at Jefferson City.  This game will take place Friday night at 7:00 at Lincoln University.  The winner will advance to the Region XVI Championship game.

(2/28/11) Lady Cards fall to State Fair on Homecoming night.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team lost a home game to Region XVI rival State Fair Saturday at the Bob Sechrest Field House. MAC got solid contributions from Briannaca Tye who had 21 points 5 assists 4 steals.  Hanna Vette had 18 points and 6 rebounds.  Local product Molly Barnes had 11 points 6 rebounds for the Cardinals. 

Next up for MAC is the all-important Region XVI Tournament.  Mineral Area will travel Poplar Bluff on Tuesday to take on Three Rivers.  The game will start at 5:00 and be followed the the men's game.

(2/24/11)  MAC gets home victory against Region XVI rival Crowder.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team won a key Region XVI game last night against Crowder.  Crowder made 13 three pointers, racking up 74 total points, but it wasn't enough as the Cardinals scored 6 more for the 80-74 home victory.  MAC had a balanced scoring attacking getting solid contributions from the following:  Hanna Vette 19, Emily Brummitt 17, Devonna Smith 12, Molly Barnes 10, Briannica Tye 9. 

The Lady Cardinals will be back at the Bob Sechrest, Sr. Fieldhouse at 5 p.m. on Saturday in a doubleheader with the men against State Fair as part of MAC’s Homecoming festivities.

(2/17/11)  Cardinals roll to easy win over MCCAC rival Forest Park.  The women's basketball team played a solid game last night conference victory last night winning by the score of 76-41.  Sonya Milford had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.  Devonna Smith had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Briannica Tye had 10 points and 7 assists while Hanna Vette added 10 more.  The Cardinals now go on the road to play against Three Rivers on Saturday at 7:00 P.M.

(2/11/11)  Cardinals fall to Region XVI Iowa Western in Council Bluffs.  The MAC Lady Cardinals lost to Iowa Western (23-2) in a Region XVI road game in Iowa.  Despite 14 points by Briannica Tye and 12 more from Rita Banaszczak MAC fell by the score of 52-69.  The Cardinals next play at Moberly on Saturday at 5:30. 

(1/27/11)  Cardinals drop MCCAC and Region XVI game to Jefferson.  The Lady Cardinals went on the road last night to play the defending Conference and Region XVI champion Jefferson College Vikings.  Despite having beat them earlier in the season at Mineral Area, Jefferson returned the favor last night scoring a convincing 81-55 victory.  Hanna Vette led the Cardinals with 15 points. 

MAC (12-10) now goes on the road to face one of their toughest tests of the year when they travel to play the 5th ranked team in the country; the State Fair Roadrunners, who are 17-2 on the season.

(1/24/11)  Mineral Area gets key Region XVI win against Moberly.  The Women's basketball team got a big win against Moberly on Saturday night winning by the score of 72-60.   MAC now improves to 12-9 overall and 2-3 in the Region.  Briannica Tye had a big night for the Cardinals scoring 21 points and 10 assists.  Hanna Vette led the Cardinals with 22 points and 6 rebounds. 

MAC travels to nationally-ranked Jefferson on Wednesday for a key MCCAC and Region 16 matchup at 6:00.  Then, the Lady Cards are at nationally-ranked State Fair on Saturday at 5:00.

(1/13/11)  Lady Cards get big win against 4th ranked Jefferson College.  The MAC women's basketball team won a MCCAC Conference and Region XVI game last night against the defending conference champion Jefferson College Vikings.  Jeffco entered the contest 14-1 and are currently the 4th ranked team in the NJCAA national rankings.  Sonya Milford (Wellington, New Zealand (Sacred Heart College) led the Cardinals with 17 points.  Kylie Oertel from Fredericktown scored 12 and Hanna Vette 11 to help lead the Cardinals to the 61-59 home victory. 

MAC (11-6) is now 4-1 in the conference. They travel to Neosho, MO on Saturday to take on Crowder at 2:00 PM.

 

(1/3/11)  MAC women take 3rd place in LSU-Eunice Tournament.  The women's basketball team played well over the weekend down in Louisiana narrowly losing to LSU-Eunice before defeating John Wood Community College out of Illinois.  The Cardinals lost a heartbreaker in the opener to the host team; 66-60 in overtime.  MAC was lead by Hanna Vette who had 15 points.  In the consolation game the Lady Cards won a low scoring game 45-32 behind Rita Banaszczak's 10 points. 

MAC (10-5) will now be in action on Saturday night against Three Rivers.  The Cardinals are 3-0 in the conference and will look to get a big win at the Bob Sechrest Field House at 5:00 against the college's biggest rival.

 

(12/5/10)  Women go 2-1 over the weekend in the Vincennes Classic.  The women's basketball team won two thrillers out in Vincennes, Indiana but the momentum wasn't enough for them to capture a 3rd consecutive victory as they fell on Saturday to the host team.  On Friday, MAC went on a 11-0 run in overtime to get the win over Southwestern Illinois.  The success in overtime was preceded by Briannica Tye once again coming through for MAC with a game tying field goal with 16 seconds left.  Mineral Area then had a strong defensive stand at the end of the regulation to force the overtime session.  Sonya Milford had 19 points and Hanna Vette added 16. 

The Cardinals played even with Vincennes on Saturday through the first half, but the Lady Trailblazers ran away with the second half behind stellar free throw shooting. Hanna Vette had another good game for MAC with 21 points.   

MAC (7-4) will now be in action on Saturday at home as a part of the annual Rotary Shootout.  They will play against John A. Logan at 5:00.  Then, on Wednesday the 15th, they will play against Southwestern Illinois at 7:00 in Belleville, Illinois. 

Over the holiday break the Lady Cards will travel south to Eunice, Louisiana to play in the LSU-Eunice Tournament.  The first game will be on Friday, December 31st against LSU-Eunice at 8:00 P.M.

(12/3/10)  Mineral Area wins game over Olney in dramatic fashion.  The women's basketball team got a thrilling win last night over Olney Central in the Vincennes Classic.  Briannica Tye hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to give MAC the victory.  The sophomore guard from Aurora, Illinois launched up a shot with the Cardinals down by one.  After the ball hit the front of the rim, it rolled around and at one time suspended on the rim completely still, before ultimately dropping through for 3 points and 68-66 victory.  MAC is now 6-3 and will continue tonight in the Vincennes Classic against Southwestern Illinois.

(11/24/10)  Lady Cards dominate MCCAC conference game against Shawnee.

The Mineral Area women's basketball team had a convincing win over the newest member of the conferences winning a 88-46 contest over the visiting Shawnee Saints.  Mineral Area started out of the gates quickly attaining a 25 point lead just 5 minutes into the game.  Every player on Mineral Area's roster scored for the home team as MAC got exactly half of their 88 points from non-starters.  Most importantly the Cardinals are now a perfect 3-0 in the conference. 

The women will get a break from action over the Thanksgiving break not playing again until December 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Vincennes Classic.  MAC (5-3) is scheduled to play against Olney Central 6:00 eastern standard time on Thursday, December 3rd.

(11/22/10)  Cardinals defeat top ranked Kirkwood, Iowa in weekend tournament.

The Mineral Area women's basketball team participated in the Kirkwood, Iowa Classic this weekend scoring a big win on Friday.  Kirkwood has won the Division II National Championship the last 4 years in succession and was the #1 ranked team heading into Friday night's game with MAC.  The Cardinals were down two at halftime but completely dominated the 2nd half to cruise to a 69-56 win over the host team.  MAC was led in scoring by Rita Banaszczak who scored 19 points.  SLU transfer Devonna Smith also had a big night for Mineral Area with 17 points.  Hannah Vette had another good game with 15.

MAC was in action the following night playing against Des Moines Area Community College and fell by the score of 81-71.  Briannica Tye continued her blazing start to the season by scoring 33 points for the Lady Cards. 

MAC is now getting ready for a conference showdown with Shawnee Community College.  This game starts at 5:00 preceding the men's game.  Both of these games are MCCAC Conference matchups as Shawnee is the newest member of the conference.

(11/17/10)  MAC falls to #21 John A. Logan on the road.  The women's basketball team suffered a road loss last night at the hands of the #21 ranked John A. Logan Volunteers in Carterville, Illinois.  MAC was unable to keep up with John A. Logan's steady offensive attack, falling by the score of 81-62.  Briannica Tye had 14 points followed by Hannah Vette who had 9 for the Cardinals.

(11/15/10)  Cardinals play against #21 John A. Logan tomorrow at 7:00 P.M.   MAC will play a road game tomorrow night against the # 21 John A. Logan Volunteers.  The Lady Cards split the season series last year with Logan losing a one point heart breaker on the road to start the season last year.

MAC is off to a good start this season at 3-1 and is looking to gain some momentum heading into the Kirkwood, Iowa Classic this weekend up in Iowa.

(11/10/10)  Lady Cardinals pick up key MCCAC road victory.  The MAC women's basketball team went to Godfrey, Illinois last night and picked up an important conference win over Lewis and Clark.  The Cardinals were 9 of 20 from the 3-point line and had a very balanced overall scoring attack led by Briannica Tye's 13 points.  The 61-57 victory for MAC puts them at 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the MCCAC conference race.  Mineral Area is now off until they play on November 19th against Kirkwood, Iowa as a part of the Kirkwood Classic.

(11/8/10) Women's basketball goes 1-1 at Jefferson College Classic.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team achieved a solid victory over Lincoln Trail on Saturday, winning by the score of 80-51.  MAC went on to play against  a good Wabash Valley team on Sunday, falling by the score of 58-48.   MAC is now 2-1 on the season. 

Local product Molly Barnes (Farmington) led the Cardinals in scoring on Saturday with 14 points.  Three other players (Rita Banaszczak 12, Hanna Vette 12, and Briannica Tye 10) scored in double figures for MAC.  

The Cardinals (2-1) will travel to Godfrey, Illinois on Tuesday for an important MCCAC Conference game against Lewis and Clark.

(11/4/10)  Cardinals open up with win behind 32 points from Briannica Tye. MAC sophomore Briannica Tye had a memorable 1st night for the Lady Cards scoring 32 points to go along with 6 points 5 steals and 3 blocked shots as Mineral Area cruised to a 81-53 victory on the road last night at Florissant Valley.  The Cardinals scored 50 points in the 2nd half to run a way with the MCCAC Conference victory.  Rita Banaszczak added 12 points.  MAC (1-0) will now play against Lincoln Trail on Saturday at Jefferson College.

(11/1/10)  Women's basketball season opens up Wednesday. 

MAC will open its season on Wednesday, November 3rd at Flo Valley in St. Louis at 5:30 in an MCCAC conference match-up.  Then, the Lady Cards travel to Jefferson also on Saturday and Sunday.  They play Lincoln Trail at 5:00 on Saturday following the volleyball championship, and they play at 4:00 on Sunday against Wabash Valley.   The Lady Cards’ first home game is a conference game against Shawnee on the 23rd.

(10/22/10) Women's scrimmage game canceled.  The women's basketball scrimmage against Columbia College at 4:15 today has been canceled.

(10/18/10)  Women's basketball season opens up in two weeks.  The Mineral Area women's basketball team will start their 2010-2011 season with a MCCAC conference game on November 3rd in St. Louis against Florissant Valley.  The game will be followed by the Men's game against the Norseman immediately after.  The women's game is at 5:30 and the men tip-off at 7:30.

(10/18/10)  Chad Mills hired as new Athletic Director.  Mineral Area has named former MAC basketball player and assistant coach Chad Mills as the new Athletic Director effective July 1, 2011.

(10/5/10)  Midnight Madness events scheduled for October 13th.  Next Wednesday night Mineral Area College will host its annual Midnight Madness events.  The night will start with a very important conference volleyball game.  The 20th ranked Lady Cardinals will take on perennial power Jefferson College starting at 6:30.  This game will most likely decide the MCCAC Conference Champion for 2010.  It is also "Dig Pink for the Fight Against Breast Cancer Night."

Midnight Madness will include a Slam Dunk Contest and a 3-Point Shooting Contest.  It will be your first chance to see the Men's and Women's teams.

At 9:00 there will be activities and prizes for the fans. A student will have a chance to win a tuition scholarship during the event.

(8/23/10)  Meet the Cardinals at Engler Park scheduled for September 9th.

Mineral Area College is inviting the community to come out and spend a few minutes meeting the athletes of all of our fine sports teams for the upcoming year.  Bring the kids out to meet the 2010-2011 Cardinals on Thursday evening, September 9, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Knight Pavilion in Engler Park, Farmington.  Coaches and athletes from men’s and women’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s softball, men’s golf,  women’s volleyball, and the MAC Cheerleaders will be on hand.  The Coaches will be grilling up hotdogs and serving soft drinks while the athletes will host a variety of activities and games for the kids to play. 

(7/27/10)  Mineral Area women's basketball releases 2010-2011 roster.  The women's basketball team had a tremendous recruiting effort in the off-season bringing in 8 new players for the upcoming season and return a redshirt from last season. 

Kate Alemann a 6' 3" Freshman post player. She is from Auckland, New Zealand and went to high school at Ransito College.  She led her club team to a 2nd place finish nationally in New Zealand. Whitney McNeely a 5'4" Freshman pg from Jackson, MO. She went Jackson High School.

Devonna Smith a 5' 10" Sophomore transfer from Division I St. Louis University. She is from St. Louis and went to Kirkwood High School where she had a very sucessful career. She has had a knee injury at SLU and has recuperated fully and will join us for her Sophomore season.  She is the niece of current Athletic Director Tim Gray. 

Taylor Smith a 5'5" Freshman guard. Her home is Advance, MO. She played at Delta High School. Tierra Williams a 6'0" Freshman post player from Chicago, IL. High School: Curie Metro High School.  Victoria Williams a 6'0" Freshman post player from Poplar Bluff, MO High School Poplar Bluff High School

Beth Thompson a 5'8" Freshman Forward from Mission, Texas. High School Sharyland H.S.  Briannica Tye a 5'3" Sophomore point guard from Aurora, IL. High School : West Aurora High School.  Bri played at Division 1 IUPUI last year where she was the starting point guard and led her team in assists.

Rita Banaszczak a 5'11" , redshirt Freshman forward from Warszawa, Poland. Her high school was :

(5/3/10)  Head Coach Gary Koch announces 5 player signings for 2010-2011 season.  The Mineral Area Women's Basketball team has signed 5 players for the upcoming basketball season.  Taylor Smith out of Delta High School in Delta, Missouri. Victoria (Tory) Williams out of Poplar Bluff. Whitney McNeely from Jackson High School and Tierra Williams out of Curie High School in Chicago, IL.

Taylor Smith is a 5'5" guard from Delta High School in Delta, Missouri.  She had an outstanding season for Delta averaging 16.0 ppg, 4.8 apg, 4.5 spg, 3.8 rpg and 40 percent on 3-pointers. Taylor was 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-State.

Tory Williams is a very good player from the Poplar Bluff Mules program.  Williams is a 6'0" post player who brings immediate help to the Cardinals interior game. 

Whitney McNeely is a 5'4" guard who had a standout career for the Jackson Fighting Indians program in Southeast Missouri.

Tierra Williams is another 6'0" post player who starred for Curie High School in Chicago, Illinois. 

The Cardinals will return Rita Banaszczak (red shirt last year), Kassi Hovis (red shirt last year),Molly Barnes, Emily Brumitt, Sonya Milford, Kylie Oertel and Hanna Vette from last years squad. 

(3/3/10)  Women's season comes to an end in the Region XVI Tournament. The MAC Women lost a 70-62 overtime game last night at Moberly in the quarterfinals of the Region XVI Tournament. 

(3/1/10)  Head Coach Gary Koch announces dates for 2010 Summer Instructional Camp.  Mineral Area Women's Basketball will host a 2010 summer instructional camp for any aspiring basketball player that is entering the 5th grade and older.  The camps dates are set for Tuesday June 15th through Friday June 18th.

(3/1/10)  Cardinals fall to State Fair in last regular season game.  Women's basketball lost a close game to the State Fair Road Runners on Saturday night in Sedalia by the score of 62-58.  Leola Hubbard led MAC with 16 pts.  The Lady Cardinals will now turn their attention to the Region XVI Tournament this week. 

MAC will play Tuesday, March 2nd at Moberly at 7:00 P.M.  The winner will play #1 seed Jefferson College in Jefferson City on Friday. 

NJCAA REGION XVI WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

(2/26/10) MAC defeats Crowder in Region XVI road game.  The Mineral Area Women's Basketball team picked up a key Region XVI road victory last night in Crowder.  MAC went down to Neohso to defeat the lady Riders by the score of 82-78.  The Lady Cards will play their final regular season game on the road on Saturday at State Fair.  Game time is set for 5:30. 

(2/23/10)  Four players receive MCCAC All-Conference recognition. The MCCAC All-Conference teams have been announced for the 2009-2010 basketball season:

Karley Evans a 5'9" sophomore guard from Rock Port High School in Rock Port Missouri was named 1st Team All-Conference.  Karley has averaged 10.9 points per game while shooting an impressive 37.8% from 3-point range.

Karley is 98 for 113 from the free throw line shooting 87.5% for the year.  She also has averaged 5.9 assists 4.8 rebounds per game. 

Shelli Liverpool a 5'11 sophomore forward from Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio was named to the MCCAC Honorable Mention Team.      Shelli has averaged 13.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Leola Hubbard a 5'6" sophomore guard from Caruthersville High School in Caruthersville, MO has been named to the MCCAC Honorable Mention Team. Leola averaged 10.7 points while shooting 84.3% from the free throw line and 39.8 from 3-point range. 

Emily Brumitt a 5'9" freshman guard from Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri was named to the MCCAC Honorable Mention Team.  Emily averaged 7.6 points per game while going 46/110 from 3-point range for a 41.8 percentage.
