(1/18/19) Game time moved up for contest with Moberly. The Game Times have been moved up due to the incoming weather, the women will now play at Noon and the men will play at 2pm tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience.
(1/17/19) MAC defeats Jefferson College in MCCAC and Region 16 Contest. The Lady Cardinals went on the road last night to Jefferson College to defeat the Vikings by the score of 74-57. MAC is now 13-5 overall and 1-1 in Region 16 and MCCAC competition.
They play this Saturday at home against Moberly at 5:00. The men will play right after.

(1/15/19) Lady Cardinals now 12-5 on the year. The Mineral Area Women played at home this past Wednesday, 1/9/19, against Iowa Western. The Lady Cards played well, but came up a little short, losing 59-56. The Lady Cards fought back from a 15-point deficit and had a last second shot to force overtime, but the shot bounced off the rim. MAC was led in scoring by Natalia Lalic with 15 points and Masyn McWilliams with 11 points. The Lady Cards were cancelled at home on Saturday against Crowder, due to the nasty weather. The make-up game with Crowder is now February 18 at 3pm. The Lady Cards are 12-5 on the season.
The Lady Cardinals have two games this week. On Wednesday, 1/16/19, The Lady Cards travel to Hillsboro, MO to take on Jefferson College. Game time is scheduled for 5pm. Then on Saturday, 1/19/19, The Lady Cardinals take on Moberly at home in a Region 16 match up. Game time is scheduled for 5pm.

(1/10/19) Crowder game canceled. The MAC Women's Basketball Game v. Crowder has been canceled for this Saturday, 1/12/19. The make-up date has not been decided yet. Have a safe weekend.
(1/8/19) Lady Cardinals fall to Three Rivers. The Mineral Area Women started the New Year off right with two big wins in their New Year’s Classic on January 1st and 2nd. On 1/1/19, the Lady Cards beat Malcolm X 83-22. Leading scorers in the game were Holly Forbes with 17 points and Claire Busse with 13 points. Then on January 2nd, The Lady Cards faced the #2 ranked team (NJCAA Division II) Highland, KS. MAC was victorious 69-60, snapping Highland’s 49- game regular season win streak. The Lady Cardinals were led in scoring by Holly Forbes with 19 points and 11 rebounds. On Saturday, 1/5/19, The Lady Cardinals traveled to Poplar Bluff to open up Region 16 play. MAC lost to Three Rivers, 74-67. Leading scorers for the Lady Cards were Rionne Papa with 14 points and Georgia Sideri with 10 points. The Lady Cards are now 12-4 on the season.
The Lady Cardinals have two games at home this week. On Wednesday, 1/9/19, Iowa Western comes to town and the tip is scheduled for 5pm. Then on Saturday, 1/12/19, Crowder travels to the “Bob” for a Region 16 match-up. Game time is scheduled for 2pm.
(12/18/18) Women's basketball team now 10-3 heading into Christmas break. On Saturday 12/15, the Lady Cards traveled to Carterville, IL to take on John A. Logan. The MAC women took care of business and beat the Lady Vols, 73-68. Rionne Papa lead all MAC scorers with 17 points, 8 rebounds and Holly Forbes had 12 points, 16 rebounds. The MAC Women are now 10-3 overall for the season.

(12/11/18) The MAC Women are now 9-3 overall for the season. On Wednesday, 12/5, the Lady Cards dominated a very good Vincennes University team at home. They beat Vincennes 78 to 55 and the leading scorer for the Lady Cards was Natalia Lalic with 23 points. Holly Forbes had 16 points and 10 rebounds also. Then on Saturday night 12/8, the Lady Cardinals did not disappoint the home crowd. They beat John Wood Community College 69 to 48. Natalia Lilac was the leading scorer in the game with 18 points and Holly Forbes had 12 points.

The Women’s Basketball team has one final game before the Christmas Break. On Saturday,
12/15, The Lady Cards will travel to John A. Logan. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00pm.
(12/3/18) Lady Cardinals are now 7-3 on the season. The Women’s Basketball team traveled to Poplar Bluff this past weekend to participate in the Three Rivers Classic. On Friday, 11/30, The Lady Cards beat Arkansas Baptist 77-35. The scoring leaders for the Lady Cardinals were:
Caitlyn Holmes with 10 pts, 10 rebounds, 6 assists
Lainey Bell 16 points
Holly Forbes 14 points, 9 rebounds
Natalia Lalic 12 points
Then, on Saturday, 12/1, the Lady Cards came up short and fell to Northeastern Oklahoma 65-60. The Lady Cards trailed most of the game and rallied late in the 4th quarter to make it close. The leading scorers for MAC were:
Maysn McWilliams with 17pts, 8 rebounds
Rionne Papa 11pts, 7 rebounds
Natalia Lalic 10pts.
The MAC Women are now 7-3 overall for the season.

(11/26/18) Lady Cards are now 6-2 on the season. The Women’s Basketball team traveled to Council Bluffs, Iowa on Wednesday, 11/21. The Lady Cards fell to the Reivers 75-56. Holly Forbes led all MAC scorers with 18 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. Then on Sunday, 11/25, the Lady Cards returned home to face Southeastern Illinois College. The Lady Cardinals defeated the Falcons 63-46. Leading scorers for the Lady Cards were Natalia Lalic with 14 points, Rionne Papa with 12 points, and Masyn McWilliams with 10 points. The Lady Cards are now 6-2 on the season.
The Women’s Basketball team will travel to Poplar Bluff, MO this weekend to participate in the Three Rivers Classic. On Friday 11/30, the Lady Cards play Arkansas Baptist at 6pm. Then on Saturday, December 1, they play Northeastern Oklahoma at 12:30 pm. Good Luck Ladies!

(11/20/18) Lady Cardinals start of season 5-1. The Women’s Basketball team traveled to Senatobia, MS, last Thursday and Friday. The Lady Cardinals participated in the Northwest Mississippi Classic. On Thursday, 11/15, they lost to Northeast Mississippi Community College 77-69. MAC was led in scoring by Holly Forbes, she had 32 points. On Friday, 11/16, the Lady Cards beat Northwest Mississippi 55-43. The Lady Cards are 5-1 on the season.
The Women’s Basketball team will travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa on 11/21 to play Iowa Western. Game time is scheduled for 5pm. Then on Sunday 11/25 the Lady Cards will return home for a game against Southeastern Illinois College. Game time is 2pm.
(11/7/18) Gary Koch earns 300th win. Congratulations to Coach Koch, this weekend he secured his 299th and 300th wins as a Head Coach. The Lady Cardinals opened their regular season on Saturday 11/3 in Poplar Bluff, MO. The Lady Cards beat South-Eastern Illinois 61-39. Holly Forbes led the team in scoring with 16pts. Then on Sunday, the Lady Cardinals beat a tough Olney Central team 63-59. Holly Forbes again was the leading scorer with 22pts and 14 rebounds. Caitlyn Holmes had 12pts and 8 rebounds. The Lady Cards are 2-0 on the season. Great start Ladies!

(10/29/18) Lady Cardinals open up their season this weekend. The Women’s Basketball team has a pre-season scrimmage on Monday at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse against Lindenwood JV. Then on Saturday and Sunday (11/3 – 11/4), the Lady Cards open their regular season in Poplar Bluff, MO. Saturday they take on Southeastern Illinois College and on Sunday they play Olney Central College. Both games start at 1pm.
