KTJJ Radio and Web-Radio Game Broadcast
Follow all of the exciting action of MAC Cardinals basketball on J98 FM. Every
game is broadcast live on KTJJ FM 98.5. You can catch every play from anywhere
in the world from your computer on the KTJJ web-cast. Listen in as Frank Kirchmer
brings you the play-by-play as "the voice of the Mineral Area College
Cardinals Basketball team." Tune in early for the pre-game coaches
show and scouting report, and get the highlights and statistics from every game
on the post-game coaches show.
Kirchmer is in his fourth season with the Cardinals and brings over 30 years of experience broadcasting basketball, football, and baseball games. He has a great technical knowledge of the game, and helps you feel the excitement of each and every play throughout the season. Kirchmer has broadcasted numerous championship events including eight state championship games, as well as the Cardinals Region XVI Championship season in 2005-06.
Frank is a a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. His wife, Theresa, teaches fifth grade at Valle Catholic in Ste. Genevieve. The Kirchmers' have three daughters; Katie, an early childhood special education teacher in the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles, MO; Kelly, is a senior at the University of Missouri - St. Louis; and Julie is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University.
In the spring of 2007, Frank Kirchmer was awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrator’s Association. This award is presented annually to an individual outside the field of interscholastic athletic administration who has, over the years, demonstrated a service to the high school athletes of Missouri. Mr. Kirchmer was cited for his over 30 years of broadcasting high school sports in the southeast Missouri region including Sikeston, Jackson, Ste. Genevieve, Perryville, and Farmington and for his contributions to high school athletics. The presentation was made at the MIAAA spring convention held at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Auffenburg MAC Cardinals Coaches Show with Corey Tate
J98 and Frank Kirchmer also broadcast the Auffenburg MAC Cardinals Coaches Show
with Corey Tate. The weekly radio show covers the ins-and-outs of the Cardinals
basketball program. The "Corey Tate Show" is broadcast live from the J98 studio in Farmington on Monday evenings at 6:05-7:05 pm on KTJJ and
is sponsored by Auffenburg.
The show has a variety of exciting features, including: meet the players, week in review, scouting the upcoming opponents, breakdown of the Cardinals offensive & defensive schemes, and segments with special guests. Last season a variety of player interviews, visits with assistant coaches Chad Kish and Sean Pryor, former assistant Kyle Gerdeman, and a visit with legendary University of Missouri Tigers’ coach Norm Stewart.
