Willie led the Bulldogs to their first District Championship since 2000 with a 22-6 record. He was a first team All-Stater as a Junior & Senior. Hassell was simply one of the most unstoppable players in the area which made him the undisputed choice for the Bootheel Conference "Player of the Year," Class 3 first team All-Region, and the Standard Democrat "Player of the Year."
