Marcus Scott spent last season on the MAC bench red-shirting after transferring from NCAA DII Lewis University (Romeoville, IL). He is a strong, versatile, inside/out forward that brings a presence of physical and mental toughness to the team. Scott is a 2005 graduate of Proviso East High School, where he played for Coach David Chatman. The Pirates finished 28-5 in 2005, winning a Regional and Sectional Championship and the West Suburban Conference title. Scott helped lead PEHS to a #4 National ranking during his senior campaign by averaging 17.6 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 3 APG, and 2 SPG. He earned West Suburban All-Conference honors twice, was the Team MVP, the Sectional MVP, and named the Sun Times "Player of the Week" four times. "Marcus is a hard-nosed player that can play inside and out, and brings a presence to both ends of the floor," commented Corey Tate.
