MINERAL AREA COLLEGE
BOB SECHREST FIELD HOUSE
The Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse is a first-class community college facility that was named after the first basketball coach at Mineral Area College. Coach Sechrest led the Cardinals basketball program for 24 years from inception in 1961, to 1986. The facility is located on-campus and has been renovated in 1997 and most recently in 2004. The wood floor has been completely overhauled, the strength training facility has been updated, and the locker-rooms were re-modeled in 2004. Now, over the summer of 2009 all of the seating has been replaced with state-of-the-art seatbacks.
