Cardinals Sports Camps
Mineral Area College provides a variety of camps and clinics for volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and cheerleading. Most of these camps are held during the summer and provide a great educational opportunity for local youth. These camps and clinics are designed to teach the fundamentals of the activity, provide top-notch instruction, provide an opportunity for competition, and most of all, be FUN!

Basketball Camps & Summer League:
Mineral Area College Women's Basketball Camp June 12-14 (2012). Mineral Area College Women's Basketball Camp June 12-14 (2012). The Mineral Area College Women's Basketball staff will be conducting a three-day summer instructional camp. Gary Koch's Instructional Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 12-14 (Tue-Thu) at Mineral Area College. The Camp is for boys & girls and will concentrate on shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, and strategy. There are three sessions: 9:00am-11:00am for 5th & 6th grades ($50), 11:30am-1:30pm for 7th & 8th grades ($50), and 2:00pm-4:00pm for 9th -12th graders ($50) Information and Questions, please call (573) 518-2259.

The MAC Cardinals Basketball Academy (MBA) for boys is slated for June 18-21 (2012).
Mineral Area College will host the Mineral Area Basketball Academy this summer from June 18th-21st, 2012. It is for boys and girls ages 2nd through 8th grade and will go Monday through Thursday.
Baseball Camp:
Mineral Area College Summer Baseball Camp at the Farmington Sports Complex TBA. Jim Gerwitz (MAC Head Coach), and MAC Cardinal players and coaches will be running and instructional baseball camp for players from 6 to 16 years old. The Camp runs from 9:30am to 12:00 noon for the entire week. Contact Jim Gerwitz at 573.518.2224 for additional information or to register. The camp cost is $60.
Volleyball Camps & Summer League:
Mineral Area Volleyball 2013 camp information and dates:
Junior Varsity & Varsity Teams are invited to participate in our summer league at the MAC Fieldhouse for six weeks each Monday night beginning June 3rd through July 15th. League games will begin at 4:00 PM and the last game will be scheduled for 9:00 PM. The cost for team entry is $150 per team. Coaches enroll your team early!
MAC will also host a league for middle school teams for six weeks beginning on June 4th and run every Tuesday night through July 16th. League games will begin at 4:00 PM and the last game will be scheduled for 9:00 PM. The cost for team entry is $150 per team. League fills up fast!
The basic fundamentals of the game will be drilled. Campers will team up with the MAC Coaching staff and several players to keep the camper to coach ratio very low. The camp will begin on Monday, June 3rd and run through Thursday, June 6th. The cost will be $60 per camper and each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. The times for each age group are listed below.
5th & 6th Grade: 8:00 AM-10:00 AM
7th & 8th Grade: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
9th-12th Grade: 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Our speciality camp will include one on one instruction from the MAC staff specifically for defense specialists, setters, and hitters. New this year, we will be offering a camp devoted solely to high school defensive specialists for a two hour session. Also, our setter/hitter camp will include a morning session and an afternoon session designed specifically for setting or hitting technique and drills. The one day camp will be on June 10th. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt.

The MAC Team Camp is offered to all high school teams. There will be a Junior Varsity and Varsity division. Teams will be guaranteed a four game minimum. The first place team in each division will receive a camp t-shirt. The camp includes one day of tournament play and will cost $100. The day camp is offered on Saturday, July 13th. There is a ten team limit so register your team early!

Softball Camp:
Mineral Area Softball 2011 camp information and dates:
The women's softball team will host a 4 day camp on June 27-30th. The instruction will be provided by Mineral Area coaches, players and former players. The cost is $50 or if you bring 10 or more the price is reduced to $30. Please contact MAC assistant softball coach Matt Guemmer for more information. Mineral Area softball is coming off its 3rd consecutive Region XVI title along with its 2nd World Series appearance in the the last 3 years.
