Course Syllabus
Dates: June 9, 2007- July 18, 2007
Days: Monday and Thursday
Time: 7 th hour -6:35 pm until 7:35 pm
8 th hour -7:40 pm until 8:40 pm
Location: Fine Arts FA126 (near Community Theater)
The theme for this summer's program is, “My Life-No Excuses”. Students will learn studio techniques to express observations about themselves.
Purpose: To learn the proportions and the alignment of the human face through drawing, painting and paper mache.
Objectives:
• To acquaint students with the elements of art (line, shape, color, form, texture, value and space).
• To improve observational skills through drawing
• To acquaint students with design elements through painting
• To acquaint students with 3-d work through paper mache construction
• To acquaint students with critique and display artwork
