Monday July 7th – Test on diction and dynamics


Thursday July 10th – Test on blend and balance


Since an individual’s participation can affect his/her team, daily assessment will be made of individual participation, which will include singing, class participation, good behavior and independent paper work.

Course Description:

The choral musician will learn pieces of music to be performed at the awards ceremony. There will be study of choral techniques, vocal techniques, and sight reading.

 

 

 

Course Objectives:

Individual music growth:

The student will develop tools that will equip him/her to experience good choral music.

The student will develop techniques for the individual voice in a group situation along with effective ways of improving reading skills.

 

 

 

Expectations of Students:

Students should approach the class with a positive attitude toward improving their vocal and choral techniques as well as contributing to the choir and assisting others in the group toward a common goal.

 

 

 

Student Evaluation:

Students will have written examinations as well as oral evaluations.
