Dill Wins Design Awards

PARK HILLS – Julia Dill, graphic designer for Mineral Area College and Terre Du Lac resident, won two Medallion Awards during the annual District 5, National Council for Marketing and Public Relations conference held Oct. 1-3 in Davenport, Iowa.

The first award was for a series of posters designed for the community college’s Little Theatre Guild productions, and the second award was for her layout and design of MAC Foundation’s twice-yearly Alumni Magazine.

NCMPR is the only professional organization geared specifically to community college marketing professionals in North America. MAC is a member of NCMPR’s fifth district, which includes community college marketers in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, the Dakotas, the Canadian province of Manitoba, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.

It was a record-setting year for Medallion Award entries, with nearly 300 submissions made by District 5 schools. Missouri community colleges took home 31 awards, placing in 39 different categories based on gold, silver, bronze, honorable mention.
