PARK HILLS – Mineral Area Council on the Arts is bringing music and art together for one exciting evening at their first-ever Fall pARTy.

MACOA’s Fall pARTy will be held 7-10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Twin Oaks Vineyard, 6470 Hwy F, Farmington. Tickets for the fund-raiser, $25 each, cover hors d'oeuvres and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available. Tickets may be purchased online at or from MACOA Executive Director Danielle Basler, (573) 518-2125.

St. Louis swing band, Miss Jubilee, sponsored by First State Community Bank, will perform. The band has been playing gigs throughout St. Louis and beyond since the beginning of 2007.

“Their repertoire is an exciting blend of authentic hot jazz, swing, R&B and rock and roll, spanning the 1920s to 1950s,” Basler said. Fronted by a high energy female vocalist and backed up by a swingin' horn-fueled rhythm section, Miss Jubilee is said to be a favorite among swing dancers and fans of all ages who enjoy upbeat and energetic music.

Basler said, in addition to great music, a silent auction of artwork created by local artists will be held. The diverse selection includes paintings, photos, textiles and more. “There's something for every taste and budget and many of the artists will be in attendance,” she said.

Proceeds from the event will support Mineral Area Council on the Arts and its mission to provide arts and cultural opportunities to the community. The event is sponsored in part by First State Community Bank and Heimburger Construction Inc. More information about the organization may be found at
