Question to ListServ:

Has anyone figured out a way to let an instructor drop a student’s lowest grade in a course? I have one class setup and it gives me the option to drop the student’s lowest grades under coursework breakdown. However, an instructor I am trying to help does not have this option on his coursepage. Does anyone know what is triggering this option for me but not for him? Is there any other way to drop a student’s lowest grade without upsetting the grading structure for the class.

• Is the instructor in question using the Basic mode of the gradebook or the advanced mode? To my knowledge dropping the lowest grade is a function only available in the Advanced mode of the Gradebook.

• As I recall, dropping is only available in percentage (advanced) not points (basic.)
