Question to ListServ:

I’m having a problem adding a role to a course, and then giving them section/area permissions. It used to be (on a previous version it was there!) that once you added someone to a new role within a course (Edit page/Permissions/Add a Role), you could then check box a section (or do All) that would give them access to sections or areas of a class, such as the Main Page, Collaboration, etc. Now I don’t see any of these check boxes, I only can check Can View for that Role. Did I miss something? Can anyone offer any assistance or do I need to put in a help desk ticket? We are JICS 7.2.0 and EX 3.5.1

• This had me scratching my head this past weekend as well. I THINK I found a way. On the page I go to the wrench for a portlet then permissions. Doesn’t appear to be a global way to set these that I can find.

• Are you setting their permissions through context manager or edit page? Context manager is where you could make them an admin on the whole LMS class – but I’m on 6.4 so that may have changed
